Course Catalog
Integrating Engineering, Robotics and AI for STEM Learning
This 5-week course engages students in integrating the engineering design process with machine learning (image and audio recognition) using Google Teachable Machine and visual block-based coding (Snap!). Working hands-on with the Hummingbird robotics kit, students build practical skills in engineering, coding, and AI while learning about future careers in STEM and Computer Science.
- Grade Levels: Grades 4–5
- Dates: October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2026
- Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
The Curious Chem Lab
In this 5-week course, students explore real-world chemistry through everyday phenomena. Utilizing interactive simulations, hands-on materials, and video demonstrations, students investigate the scientific principles that bridge chemistry with the physical world around them.
- Grade Levels: Grades 6–8
- Dates: October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2026
- Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Fire Science, Coding, and Engineering Activities
Students explore fire science and environmental impacts through hands-on activities adapted from the Desert Research Institute (DRI). Throughout the program, participants conduct chemical reaction experiments, build molecular models and prototypes, construct circuits, and code both robots and webpages.
- Grade Levels: Grades 6–8
- Dates: October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2026
- Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
