Give your student the opportunity to code robots, explore real-world chemistry, and design AI projects in a hands-on, supportive environment. Enrollment for our Fall 2026 5-week Saturday STEM programs is officially open—spots are limited to 20 students per course!
Course Enrollment Options To support broad access to our programs, each 5-week course maintains a total limit of 20 students split into two registration paths:
- Open Registration: 10 seats filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A $200 course fee applies. Register early, as seats fill quickly.
- Lottery Application: Reserved at no cost for students who qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Lunch. These seats are filled by lottery from all submitted applications.

Integrating Engineering, Robotics and AI for STEM Learning
This 5-week course is designed to engage students who may not think robotics or Computer Science is “for them”. This course integrates the engineering design process with machine learning (image recognition, audio recognition, and recognition) using Google Teachable Machine and visual block-based coding (Snap!). We will use the Hummingbird robotics kit. By the end of the course, students will improve their knowledge and skills in engineering, coding and machine learning and they will be informed about STEM and Computer Science careers. No prior experience in robotics is required!

The Curious Chem Lab
This course is designed to help students explore the fun and reality of chemistry in everyday activities, using an exploratory approach to bridge the gap between chemistry and the physical world around them. Each day, students will receive tools (Simulations, hands-on interaction materials, Videos) to investigate the chemistry behind at least two phenomena.

Fire Science, Coding, and Engineering Activities
Join us in learning about fire science and how fires affect our environment through hands-on activities adopted from the DRI’s Nevada Fire Science educational activities. Some activities will include chemical reaction experiments and simulations, molecular model building, physics demonstrations, and chemistry games. Paired with these fire science activities will be coding and engineering activities where students will build various circuits and prototypes, as well as code some robots and webpages! Join us for a few hours of fun experiments, building, and games!
